Yesterday I went on a nice adventure with my friends Kylie and Vanessa (aka the sweetest girls you'll ever meet). We climbed a HUGE and super awesome tree (while getting eaten by bugs), went to a couple abandoned buildings and danced around, blasted music in the car, and stopped by the Volcom Pipe pro surf competition. I'm so glad to have the warm and sunny weather back!

So today was overcast and cold (for once) so my friends and I had trouble trying to figure out what to do with our lives. A couple of girls and I just ended snuggling up in blankets, buying hot chocolate and just going to sit on the beach. We talked, listened to music, played some catch, and enjoyed each other's company. I love the beach when its all cold and cloudy; it was nice being in a different setting. Sitting with my girl friends and just talking about things made me think about how different Hawaii would be without them. Although it seems like it's so fun to live here because of all of the places I go (which is partially true), the people I go with are what make it worthwhile.

Here's a video I threw together of a few things I've been up to so far this semester (and a few pictures). From watching some of the biggest waves I've ever seen in my life, to hiking crouching lion, and even just cruising down Kam Highway. The song, My Friends Never Die by Odesza is one of my favorites, I've been obsessing over Odesza because it gives off the best vibes. Reminds me how blessed I am to have such amazing friends to share these memories with.

Lacee and I on top of a hike called "Crouching Lion". One of my favorites!

Finding my inner "gangster" at this interesting graffiti spot.

See that little island in the background? I swam to it and hiked to the top!

Exploring this beautiful Buddhist temple with one of my favorite teammates, Brittany Dyer!

So I've never really been a "blogger" but seeing that I've had the privilege of living in Hawaii for the past 7 months, I figured I should share the love. I guess you could call this my debut to the blogging world. I'm a student at BYU-Hawaii and I'm in love with Oahu, especially the North Shore. I'm from San Diego, California, so it feels so great to have another home in paradise. I play for the Women's soccer team here and it's my third semester. My older sister who is married just graduated from BYU-Hawaii in December and I was able to be on the soccer team with her and have her here for my first few months of college. My best friend is my little brother Sam, he's such a stud.
Yesterday, I went on a swim/hike to a little island called Chinaman's hat about 15 minutes away from my school. We had to swim out to the island and then hike and free rock climb up to the top. 'Twas a good time exploring with the girls, but super windy! Enjoy.
